  • G3i is the first magneto interfaced-based electronic aircraft ignition control system.

  • G3i interfaces with most Slick & Bendix aircraft magnetos.

  • *NEW* G3i Single channel Series-SC interfaces with other EI ignition systems and reads the EI variable ignition-timing signal. The SC module changes the magneto ignition timing and firers the magneto in perfect synchronization with the other existing EI.

  • Provides redundant magneto-based ignition as a backup in case of electrical power outages or electronic ignition failure.

  • G3i Ignitons are amplified with (MSD) Mutiple Spark Discharge. In turn compliments the synchronized firing event in all naturally aspirated and supercharged Lycoming & Continental engines.

  • This can be done with very minimal magneto modification.

G3i electronic aircraft ignition system utilizes the original aircraft magneto ignition system in experimental aircraft ( Slick Magneto or Bendix Magneto ). The G3i module interfaces aircraft magnetos with a multiple spark, electronic ignition allowing the aircraft engine to be operated in a more efficiently manner, with the added safety of the original airplane magnetos as the back up system. If the aircraft ignition or aircraft experiences a total electrical failure, the magneto portion of the system can be brought back on line to keep the engine running. As for efficiency, interfacing the original magneto ignition system with the G3i electronic ignition does a much better job of burning all the fuel in the cylinders, resulting in more power and less fuel consumption. A cleaner running engine is less likely to have less crankcase oil contamination and cylinder problems. Some of the benefits of the G3i Ignition system are that it uses your existing magnetos and one system operates both magnetos independently. Hot or cold starts are easier on the engine because both magnetos are electronically energized during start up. There is no need for Slick Start or Bendix Shower of Sparks. With this type of electronic aircraft magneto ignition system, both left and right ignition systems are in perfect synchronization resulting in smoother engine operation. To upgrade, there is minimal single wire magneto modification to convert your existing Slick or Bendix magnetos. The G3i system uses the standard shielded aircraft ignition harnesses and standard aircraft spark plugs or, G3i offers magneto ignition harness conversions to 8.5mm Super Conductor ignition wires, which uses the automotive style spark plugs.
